Help with searching.
If you place 2 or more words in a single search box, those words must
appear in the next to each other in our database for the results to be displayed.
Items stored in our database with sensible descriptions which means that you
should be able to search for items using a simple search phrase in one box,
e.g. "Seat Post", "Bottle Cage", "Spoke Key".
The second search box enables you to expand your search to include another word
and narrow down the results, e.g. "Carbon", "Aluminium",
"Oversize".
When searching the database, the results that are displayed will take into
account what you typed in BOTH search boxes. Therefore if you entered "Seat
Post" in box 1, and "Carbon" in box 2, you would be shown all
Seat Posts that also have the word Carbon in their description.
The search facility will also match a single partial word in either search
box. So you could search for a manufacturer containing Mic, and would have both
Michelin and Miche displayed in the results. |
